The Role of an Aging Life Care Professional
An ALCA member is a qualified and compassionate expert who helps families in a variety of ways. Their role is comprehensive and client-centered, often including:
Comprehensive Assessments: Conducting in-depth evaluations of a client’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being.
Creating a Plan of Care: Developing a personalized, actionable plan to address current needs and anticipate future challenges.
Coordination of Services: Acting as a central point of contact to manage and coordinate all aspects of a client's care, from medical providers to home care and legal advisors.
Advocacy: Serving as a strong and knowledgeable advocate for the client and family within the healthcare system.
Crisis Intervention: Providing expert guidance and steady support during medical emergencies or unexpected life transitions.
